Apple Store Employees Say Coworkers Were Disciplined for Supporting Palestinians
A group of Apple Store employees have come forward alleging that their coworkers were disciplined for showing support for Palestinians amid the recent conflict in the region.
According to the employees, who wish to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation, they were reprimanded by management for wearing pins or speaking out in support of Palestinian rights.
“We were told that our actions were causing discomfort among customers and that we needed to remain neutral on political issues,” one employee said.
The employees have since filed a complaint with Apple’s Human Resources department, claiming that their freedom of expression was being suppressed.
Apple has yet to respond to the allegations, but the company has previously stated that it values diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
As the conflict in the Middle East continues to escalate, the employees are calling on Apple to support their right to express solidarity with the Palestinian people.
